About the neighbourhood: a favour for our furry friends.
We were sauntering along Queen Street West a couple of days ago, enjoying the brand-new sunshine, when we noticed–in front of a store called Heel Boy, near Trinity-Bellwoods Park–this delighted little dog, munching happily at the bone-shaped biscuits and lapping at the bowl of water so thoughtfully provided by the store. We couldn’t quite believe that such kindness, such innocence, existed anymore.
We went inside. “Is this dog-feeding part of some urban program or something?” we asked, sounding more cynical than we really meant to. “No,” said the woman in the store, smiling at us. “We just like to do it.”
